Aimo app camera recognition

Modified on Mon, 18 Nov, 2024 at 3:53 PM

When you use camera recognition, parking starts automatically at the entrance to parking garages through the Aimo app once the camera has recognized the license plate. When using the camera recognition feature, you do not need to visit a payment machine, as any parking charges will be sent directly from the payment card you have added to your account.

You can change the camera recognition settings in the Account -window of the application, under My vehicles, by clicking on your license plate number.

To turn on the camera recognition feature, you need to add a payment card to the app. Payment card details are required, as any charges for parking will be charged automatically after parking has ended. If your payment card details change, please add the new payment card details to your account. If necessary, turn camera recognition back on.

Set up camera recognition for multiple accounts with the same license plate number

Camera recognition can only be enabled for one account at the same time.

If the vehicle has more than one user, the current user of the vehicle must always turn on camera recognition with their own account before entering the parking garage.

If you turn on camera recognition with your own account from the license plate number, camera recognition will be disabled for the previous user. In this case, the previous user will receive an email notification that camera recognition has been turned off.

Park and ride

When you drive to park-and-ride facilities, you cannot use the Aimo app. Before driving to park-and-ride facilities, please note that camera recognition must be completely turned off in the app.

You can change the camera recognition settings in the Account -window of the application, under My vehicles, by clicking on your license plate number.

If you are already park-and-ride and notice that parking has started in the app, please contact our customer service. In this case, we can stop your parking that started with the app.

Season pass and Aimo app

If you have a season pass for a parking lot with a barrier, please turn off the camera recognition before driving to the parking area so that parking does not start with the app and you can park with the season pass.

If you notice that parking has started with the app after driving in, please contact our customer service before driving out so that we can stop the parking that started with the app.
